Championing Mobile Work

Championing Mobile Work | DIOSA designs Inc.

As the DIOSA staff come back from summer holidays we are embracing a new type of work: mobile working. Call it hybrid work, flexible work or remote on the go. It means that your workspace can be anywhere. Unlike remote working, which refers to a location outside of the office, mobile working is a method of work that isn’t tied to a physical location.

When Robert Half surveyed 500 workers in Canada, 51% of employees said they would prefer to work a hybrid of remote and office work.

Infographic showing that 26% of workers want to be fully remote, 49% want a hybrid approach, 25% want to be fully in the office.
Most employees enjoy the flexibility of mobile working. You don’t feel tied to your desk and you can change up your environment as you see fit.

Our staff has always been remote – even before COVID times, and this has given them a sense of control over their day. My team has expressed how much they appreciate the freedom and flexibility and it brings more energy to their workday.

When creating our hero product, the Maya Backpack, we always knew we wanted to support remote workers. Over the past two years we’ve seen an even better use for Maya. Your desk-in-a-bag for working on the go.

Here are 5 reasons why Maya is a champion of mobile work and how she is your new desk-in-a-bag:

Maya holds all your work essentials.

Maya’s is a 28L backpack that can hold the entire contents of your desk. Her second compartment boasts a padded laptop sleeve that can carry up to a 15’ inch laptop. There’s enough room to hold important documents and they won’t fold or crease since the compartment lines up with your back. There’s also a padded tablet sleeve to hold smaller electronics.

Maya can charge your electronics on the go.

Possibly Maya’s coolest feature is her power port. The outside USB power port is covered in vegan leather so it blends in perfectly with the exterior. Hidden inside is a secret pocket with a charging cord that can connect with any portable charger! Charging your devices on the go is just another way Maya can help you work on the go.

Maya is the perfect travel companion.

As we start to get back to travel, business trips will soon become the norm once again. Luckily Maya is the perfect travel buddy! Her trolley sleeve slips over any luggage handle and the sleeve has a zipper to hold your passport and boarding passes. Talk about convenience!

Maya is not just one bag.

Did you know when you buy a Maya you actually receive 5 bags? The Maya backpack comes with a crossbody purse, perfect for transitioning from day to night, a coin purse to keep your money safe, a laundry drawstring bag for running shoes or gym clothes, and the protector bag that can double as a yoga bag! Maya makes sure you have a bag for any situation during your work day.

Maya is easily convertible.

Although Maya is a revolutionary women’s backpack, we know that you like to switch it up sometimes – just like your workday. Which is why we’ve made sure Maya can easily convert into a messenger bag so you can carry her the way you like.

As we transition into our new normal, whether that be mobile working, getting back to travel, or simply being a busy woman on the go, Maya has your back, literally!
